NEXT STAGE: Freshen in 2021
Volkswagen's 2022 Tiguan upgrades the compact crossover in both styling and technology to give it some separation from the brand's new, lower-priced Taos in the same segment. The 2022 Tiguan, expected to be priced at least $2,500 higher than the smaller Taos, features a standard 8-inch instrument cluster screen, with a 10-inch screen available on top trims, VW's improved MIB3 infotainment system on mid- and upper-level trims and heated front seats.
NEXT STAGE: Reengineering in 2022
The Tiguan will be reengineered to receive a new 1.5-liter I-4 engine for improved fuel efficiency and power in 2022.
NEXT STAGE: Redesign in 2024
The Tiguan is to be redesigned in 2024, based on Volkswagen’s traditional product schedule.
