Wireless charging of electric vehicle batteries has been a holy grail of next-generation technology for a decade, but so far has not materialized. Stellantis may help move the needle on that. EFI Automotive, a Stellantis partner, has developed an inductive robot charger that moves under a vehicle after it's parked. The company said the robot "is able to find the car and stop under the car without any user action." Stellantis' Ram brand announced during CES in January that its 1500 Revolution pickup concept could use the robot, which it dubbed the "Ram Charger." EFI said the device can charge both light and commercial vehicles.
