Chief Marketing and Public Relations Officer
Andrea Brimmer was named chief marketing and public relations officer of Ally Financial in 2015. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing the company's marketing and advertising strategies and ensuring they support the overall objectives of the organization. She is also responsible for market research initiatives and brand management.
Most recently, Ms. Brimmer served as chief marketing officer for Ally's auto finance and insurance businesses. She was also instrumental in development and deployment of the Ally brand in 2009. Prior to joining ally in 2006, Ms. Brimmer spent 20 years on the agency side in Detroit, where she led the Chevrolet account and launched the iconic American Revolution campaign, as well as numerous product offerings.
Ms. Brimmer holds a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University, and is active in the university's College of Communication Arts and Sciences, bringing relevant programs of interest to the school. In 2017 she won the Financial Communication Society's Marketer of the Year award for her work on Ally's first unified brand campaign. In 2015, she was named to the 100 Leading Women list issued by Automotive News, which recognizes leaders in the automotive field. She sits on the board of Automotive News Leading Women which has a goal of bringing gender equality to the auto industry. In 2014 and 2015, Ms. Brimmer was named to Forbes list of 50 Most Influential CMOs, and she is active in the Forbes CMO Challenge program which aims to reach young people interested in marketing careers.
A Detroit native, Ms. Brimmer supports many causes that seek to foster the revitalization of the city and support key arts and cultural initiatives. She is a board member of Impact100 Metro Detroit, which aims to fuel transformation in the community by awarding high-impact grants to local nonprofits. Ms. Brimmer also works closely with a number of organizations to promote Detroit as the country's first designated UNESCO World Heritage city.
Vice President, Marketing Communications
Kia Motors America
Saad Chehab is the vice president, marketing communications, at Kia Motors America. He oversees all strategy and execution for all Kia's marketing, advertising and communications activities. Mr. Chehab joined Kia Motors America in May of 2017. With more than 25 years of automotive industry experience, Mr. Chehab came to Kia from Maserati, where he was responsible for growing the brand globally. Prior to Maserati, he led the Chrysler brand with award winning marketing campaigns as part of the renewal of Chrysler between 2009 and 2011.
Saad Chehab earned a bachelor in architecture at University of Detroit Mercy.
Vice President and General Manager
Jon Ikeda is the vice president and general manager of the Acura Division of American Honda Motor Co., Inc. He oversees all Acura brand sales, marketing and service operations in the United States. Mr. Ikeda assumed his new responsibilities in July 2015.
Prior to joining American Honda, Mr. Ikeda was a chief designer and the division director of Auto Design for Honda R&D Americas, Inc. His R&D career involved a key role in the development of a number of Acura products, including a leadership role in the creation of the Acura Design Studio, which opened in 2007.
Inspired by a then new Acura brand that had been established in 1986, Mr. Ikeda began his career with Honda in the fall of 1989, joining the start-up of a new advanced design studio in Tokyo as one of the first designers from outside Japan to join the styling team.
Mr. Ikeda rejoined Honda R&D Americas in Los Angeles in 1995 and over the next 15 years, was actively involved in numerous production and research projects, including serving as the design project leader for the 2001 Civic Coupe. He also penned and led the design team in the development of the 2004 Acura TL, the best-selling Acura model of all time.
From 2004 to 2013, Mr. Ikeda was focused on the Acura brand and design.
Mr. Ikeda holds a bachelor of science degree in Industrial Design from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.
Vice President, Consumer, Government and Entertainment
As vice president for Google's large customer sales, Adam Stewart provides solutions to major brand marketers in the Consumer Packaged Goods, Automotive, Food/Beverage/Restaurant, Branded Apparel & Durables, Media & Entertainment, and most recently the Government & Advocacy industries. In this role, he oversees all advertising partnerships and integrated solutions across the company's platforms, including Google, YouTube and Doubleclick. From 2006 to 2013, Mr. Stewart managed Google's Media and Entertainment advertising business playing an integral role bringing entertainment marketers to YouTube as well as increasing the industry's use of search and mobile marketing.
Prior to Google, Mr. Stewart was senior vice president at Discovery Communications, where he oversaw a team of national sales managers and developed and executed sales strategies for Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, Travel Channel, Discovery Health and BBC America. He also previously served as vice president of national sales for Screenvision, where he led in-theater advertising and content deals across multiple industries.
Adam Stewart graduated with a degree in Communications Arts and Sciences from the University of Southern California.
