Richard Arredondo said he’s always liked taking things apart; putting them back together was the hard part. Arredondo, of Houston, got a chance to learn how to put things back together during an intensive seven-week program launched by Petra Cares to train at-risk youth to be automotive technicians. Arredondo is a graduate from the program’s first class and is working at a Houston-area dealership. He spoke with Senior Editor Dan Shine about the program and what he would like to do in the future.
