VW-AUDI: Crossovers, EVs, luxury cars drive double-digit gains

Volkswagen sales in the third quarter rose 12 percent to 89,085 on strong sales of its crossover lineup. Meanwhile, Audi sales climbed 20 percent to 49,267.

Average transaction price: $45,198, up 7.1% from a year earlier, according to TrueCar.
