Big gains seen for U.S. sales in September and Q3, but affordability drags on market

A Jeep store in Ellsworth, Maine. U.S. consumers and fleet owners kept buying new vehicles in September and the third quarter, thanks in part to increased inventory. But the sales rate continues to slow from where it was earlier in the year, when interest rates were lower.
