TOYOTA-LEXUS: Hybrids make up almost a third of September sales

Toyota Motor North America saw its sales jump 14 percent in September to 203,904, powered by a 13 percent rise at volume brand Toyota and a 21 percent gain at premium brand Lexus. Notably, hybrids accounted for 32 percent of the automaker's total volume in September.

Brands: Toyota, up 13%; Lexus, up 21%.

Notable nameplates: Toyota RAV4, up 18%, Camry, down 8.5%, Corolla, up 20%, Tacoma, down 4.2%; Lexus RX, up 8.9%, NX, up 65%, ES, down 3.4%.
