Mark Hollmer has joined Automotive News as a reporter covering dealers and retail technology.
Hollmer, 53, most recently wrote about insurance and mortgage industry technology for Insurance Business America and Mortgage Professional America, publications owned by Key Media in Sydney, Australia.
Before that, Hollmer spent more than seven years writing and editing at Wells Media's Carrier Management publication, where he covered the property/casualty insurance industry with a focus on insurance technology startups.
He began his career as a reporter at The St. Albans Messenger in Vermont. Hollmer is an alumnus of Canisius College and Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
