Audi and Costco Auto Program bring back new-vehicle incentives

For the second time this year, and as the summer selling season continues, Audi is partnering with retail giant Costco for another round of limited-time vehicle specials.

In order to get the incentives — $1,000, $1,500 or $3,000 off a vehicle — Costco members as of July 31 have to register for a certificate from Aug. 1 to Sept. 30.

Costco Auto Program said members must bring the certificate to any Audi dealership in the U.S. and take delivery by Oct. 15. Vehicles can be purchased or leased.

New 2024 or 2025 Audi models eligible for the $1,000 incentive include the A5, A6, Q4 E-tron, Q5, Q8 and Q8 E-tron.

The $1,500 incentive is available on just the Q7 and SQ7 large crossovers while the biggest incentive, $3,000, is available only on the A8 and S8 large sedans.

Costco Auto Program said more than 25,000 Audi vehicles were sold through program-approved dealerships in 2023. Around 9,000 of those vehicles were Q5 crossovers, a spokesperson said.

"Costco member demand for Audi is very strong, especially the Audi Q5," Cory Benwell, Costco Auto Program general manager, said in a statement. "Both Costco Auto Program and Audi recognize its popularity and that of other models among Costco members."

Costco Auto Program said the discounts can be combined with "all available incentives for which the member qualifies."

Audi and Costco Auto Program offered similar incentives this year as the spring selling season got underway. The spokesperson said nearly 4,000 Q5s were sold during the earlier special.

Audi's U.S. sales fell 12 percent in the second quarter and are off 14 percent for the first half of 2024 compared with the same period a year earlier. Audi reports sales quarterly.

Costco Auto Program is also running a limited-time special on certified preowned Volvos, the spokesperson said.
