CARMEL, Calif. — Toyota estimates the hybrid version of the redesigned 2022 full-size Tundra pickup, the i-Force Max, will see a 1- to 2-mpg improvement in city and combined driving over the non-hybrid counterpart, depending on how it is outfitted.
The two-wheel-drive i-Force Max's mileage is rated 20 city/24 highway/22 combined, compared with the base gasoline SR trim's EPA-rated 18/24/20 and 18/23/20 for other trim lines.
The four-wheel-drive hybrid is rated 19/22/21 in the Limited, Platinum, 1794 and Capstone trims and 19/21/20 in the Pro trim, vs. the gasoline SR and SR5's 17/23/19 and the other trims' 17/22/19. The EPA has not yet released fuel-economy figures for the i-Force Max.
