NEXT STAGE: Additions in 2020
Joining the Porsche 911 lineup this year is the powerful Turbo S variant. Available as either a coupe or convertible, the Turbo S is powered by a 3.8-liter boxer engine with 640 hp and 590 pound-feet of torque, which Porsche notes is an increase of 60 hp and 37 pound-feet of torque compared with its predecessor. The Turbo S also has a wider body. Pricing starts at $204,850, including shipping, for the coupe. It's set to arrive in the U.S. by late 2020.
Also joining the lineup this year is a targa top variant. The all-wheel-drive model is offered with either an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission or a seven-speed manual. Power is supplied by a twin-turbo, six-cylinder 3.0-liter engine which makes 379 hp in the Targa 4 and 443 hp in the Targa 4S.
