Tesla to return to Paris motor show after six years

Six years after its last appearance at the Paris auto show, Tesla Inc. will return to the event Oct. 14-20 with a display of its complete lineup – including the Cybertruck, which is not sold in Europe.

The addition of Tesla, announced by the show organizers, is another indication that the Paris event is enjoying something of a comeback after a lackluster 2022 edition that was bypassed by most European brands but had a strong Chinese presence. 

This year, Tesla is joining Renault Group (Alpine, Dacia and Renault), four Stellantis brands (Alfa Romeo, Citroen, Peugeot and Leapmotor), three Volkswagen Group brands (Audi, Skoda and VW), Ford, Kia and China’s BYD as major exhibitors.
 

Tesla is expected to show the Model 3 midsize sedan, the Model Y midsize crossover — Europe’s best-selling EV — the Model S large sedan and Model X large SUV, as well as the polarizing Cybertruck.

The U.S. automaker will also have interactive displays of its technology, the show organizers said. 

Tesla also appeared at the Munich auto show in 2023, where it displayed the mid-cycle refresh of the Model 3. 

Future model plans for Tesla include an expected update of the Model Y and a robotaxi that will be unveiled Oct. 10 in Los Angeles. A long-rumored lower-cost EV is now apparently off the table.
