NEXT STAGE: Redesign in 2028
Porsche updated its electric fastback with an improved suspension and lighter, more energy-efficient batteries this summer.
The 2025 Taycan sports a new heat pump and a rear-axle motor with up to 80 kilowatts of additional power. Styling updates include new front fenders, headlights and taillights.
The standard rear-wheel-drive Taycan delivers 402 hp and sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. The performance-focused, all-wheel-drive Taycan Turbo GT makes 1,019 hp and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 2.1 seconds with the optional weight-reducing Weissach Package, making it the most powerful and fastest-accelerating production Porsche to date.
A Taycan redesign is not expected until 2028.
