NEXT STAGE: Freshen in 2026

The flagship gets minor updates for 2025 including new exterior colors.

Last year, the S-Class received a 510-hp plug-in hybrid variant and debuted Mercedes’ Level 3 Drive Pilot system. The assisted-driving technology allows the vehicle to control driving functions under certain conditions.

A beefy freshening is expected in the second half of 2026 with updated V-8 engines and new front and rear styling. 
The next-generation S-Class, likely arriving after 2028, will offer combustion engine and electric powertrains.
