Auction giant Manheim has installed Fyusion mobile imaging at all of its locations and launched its first-ever artificial intelligence-driven imaging stall, in Minneapolis.
Manheim finished installing 108-megapixel inspection cameras this month. Those cameras are driven by Fyusion software, which Manheim is counting on to better detect vehicle damage and produce more accurate images for its clients.
The AI-driven imaging tunnel in Minneapolis will be capable of taking high-resolution images while a vehicle is in motion, Manheim said. It understands vehicles in three dimensions, which will lead to more concise condition reports. The company plans AI stalls at other locations this year.
Manheim announced its acquisition of Fyusion in January 2021.
