Electric vehicles aren't just better for the environment. They also can improve their owners' love life, according to a survey conducted on behalf of Ford Motor Co., which just so happens to be introducing its first long-range EV this year.
Three out of four respondents said they would prefer to date someone who owns an EV, and eight out of 10 would be interested in going on a date in an EV.
Two-thirds of those surveyed said they would choose an EV to make a good first impression.
The survey of 3,000 adults in the U.S., China and Europe was conducted in June and released last week for Valentine's Day — which, like an EV, still costs far more than it should.
Of course, before rolling up to a first date in an EV, it's a good idea to make sure the battery has plenty of juice. Range anxiety is a definite mood killer.
