Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV
NEXT STAGE: New in 2022
The EQS SUV is the third model built on Mercedes' new Electric Vehicle Architecture, or EVA platform. Available in rear- and all-wheel drive, the truck is powered by a 107.8-kilowatt-hour battery that delivers more than 600 km (373 miles) of range, based on the WLTP testing cycle. The single motor rear-wheel EQS 450+ delivers 355 hp, while the dual-motor EQS 580 4MATIC pumps out 536 hp, Mercedes said. The EQS SUV shares its long wheelbase (126 inches) with the EQS sedan but is over 7.8 inches higher than the sedan. The SUV has an electrically adjustable second row of seats and an optional third row. The cockpit is anchored by a 56-inch curved, high-resolution "Hyperscreen" that stretches from A-pillar to A-pillar and combines three screens — a 17.7-inch center display flanked by a pair of 12.3-inch screens. The EQS SUV will arrive in the U.S. in late 2022.
