While wandering the floor at the Los Angeles Auto Show, we couldn't help but notice variations on a "vision" theme. For starters, three concepts had some form of the word "vision" in their names. Then moving from the literal to the virtual, we saw some cool tech that gave showgoers a new visual experience.

The Land Rover Defender VR experience lets people play aerial photographer on a virtual helicopter ride. What are they shooting? The Defender on rugged terrain, of course.

Lexus uses augmented reality to demonstrate its new LC 500 Convertible. Using a tablet equipped with a camera, a user can walk around the vehicle and see 3D overlays of internal parts -- in this case, the engine -- and learn more about the car.
