Time to add unions to automaker boards

Regarding “UAW spokesman’s messages reveal effort to keep automakers ‘wounded for months,’ ” autonews.com, Sept. 21: Looks like it may be time to get the unions on the automakers’ boards, like they are in Germany, so they know the real financial situations instead of guessing and assuming.

They would also have a say in the astronomical executive compensation awards that so incense them.
