TO THE EDITOR:
The beginning of the end of labor's strength was the joint programs, training centers, which serve as slush funds.
When a union has resources from the company it bargains with, the lines become blurred. Cozy relationships between labor and management become weakened contracts.
It will be a long road to restoring trust in leadership. Top leadership makes far more money than many of its members. Until this changes, the culture of silence and complicity will remain intact.
