TO THE EDITOR:
General Motors' decision to idle union plants on both sides of the border is wrong. Especially when work is going to Mexico. This is why we union workers are losing jobs. GM corporate executives' greed is spreading like cancer.
It appears as though Bernard Fishbein, chairman of the Ontario Labour Relations Board, has been won over by GM ("Unifor engaged in 'unlawful strikes' in GM protest, labor board rules," autonews.com, Feb. 26). Shame on him for not defending his country and the Canadian people, who will all be affected by GM ending production at the Oshawa plant and laying off workers.
