TO THE EDITOR:
I have been a very satisfied customer of Mazda vehicles, having owned seven of them. But the 2019 Mazda3 only offers a manual in the $28,000 or more range and is loaded with other features that I do not want ("Premium play," Sept. 9). My 2018 3 hatchback cost about $21,000 and offered everything I wanted. Great car that my wife and I enjoyed.
A model one year newer is $7,000 more and includes stuff that I do not appreciate. It is now out of my price range and not the car I want. If they decontented the new one and offered it with a manual at a realistic price, I would gladly buy it.
