TO THE EDITOR:
"Against the current" (April 5) was interesting. The three electric vehicle buyers who did not choose Tesla all chose their previous brands. The two with luxury vehicles cited their trust with their dealers; the other noted Elon Musk is a "non-car guy."
I'm amazed at how much bias is still present with the traditional automotive market. I have also owned and driven many luxury vehicles, but I would put my Tesla Model 3 against any of them. The style is clean and minimalistic on the inside, and the acceleration puts you back in the seat.
It's time to open the door to all OEMs, not just the traditional ones, to make electrification as stylish and fun as it is sustainable for the future.
