Honda targets EV solid-state battery range of 620 miles, but small cell size still big problem

Honda said last month its new demonstration line north of Tokyo, shown, will begin test production in January, a key step in its drive to phase out internal combustion in its vehicles by 2040. Solid-state batteries are seen as delivering breakthroughs in cost, safety and performance.
