The 2021 model year saw Ram up the performance ante in the pickup world with the 1500 TRX, a blistering hauler that churns out 702 hp.
The next phase will focus on electrifying the lineup. An electric 1500 pickup is in the cards for 2024, after an electric ProMaster van in 2023.
Ram's 2022 models are being updated with the Uconnect 5 infotainment system.
Midsize pickup: It sounded like a midsize pickup was a possibility in 2019, when Fiat Chrysler Automobiles CEO Mike Manley said the company was "focused on solving a metric ton midsize truck solution for us because it's a big part of the portfolio and growth we want to achieve." Then FCA trademarked "Dakota" last year, the name of the midsize pickup it dropped in 2011 after a 25-year run. But the future remains unclear for the project.
