Penske Logistics is the best-regarded carrier among parts managers at franchised dealerships for delivering factory parts, a new survey suggests.
The 2018 Parts Managers Satisfaction Survey, conducted by the automotive consulting firm Carlisle and Co., had more than 8,000 respondents in North America rate carriers on their delivery of repair parts. The annual survey, sponsored by 20 automotive brands, assigned each carrier a numerical score based on how many respondents said they would recommend it to a colleague at another dealership.
Among 18 carriers rated in the survey, Penske Logistics achieved the highest score of 70 (on a scale of minus 100 to 100), followed by CEVA Logistics (53) and Black Horse Carrier (50), said Carlisle partner Harry Hollenberg. Factory carriers, such as Toyota Quality Parts Express, were not included on the list.
Penske Logistics is a subsidiary of Penske Truck Leasing, itself a partnership of Penske Corp., Penske Automotive Group and Mitsui & Co.
