Tom Carl has joined Automotive News as visual operations manager. Carl, 40, spent nearly 18 years in a TV newsroom in Hartford, Conn., where he most recently was manager of technology and operations.
He has covered all aspects of local news in Connecticut. He coordinated live coverage of everything from PGA Tour events and road races to elections. He has won Emmy awards for his photography and editing.
Carl is an alumnus of Central Connecticut State University.
