NADA names new advocacy staff leaders

The National Automobile Dealers Association announced leadership changes on Tuesday, including the introduction of a new position, executive vice president of public policy.

NADA said Paul Metrey, who had been NADA's senior vice president of regulatory affairs since April 2021, was promoted to the new position in November. He leads public policy efforts at NADA, including legislative, regulatory and public affairs.

"Paul Metrey brings leadership, unrivaled issue knowledge, and a trove of accomplishments to this new role, which is charged with spearheading NADA's public policy strategy, outreach and advocacy," NADA CEO Mike Stanton said in a statement. "Paul has been an integral part of NADA's policy and advocacy team for many years and he is the right person to drive our mission forward."

The move also comes as David Regan, executive vice president of legislative affairs, retired from NADA last week after 23 years.

Several leaders within the organization also are moving to new roles:

Andy Koblenz, executive vice president of legal and regulatory affairs and general counsel, is now executive vice president of strategic affairs and industry initiatives.

Additionally, Jim Minnis is now general counsel. He was senior vice president and associate general counsel.

Doug Greenhaus, previously vice president of regulatory affairs, retired in December and will work as a consultant to NADA through March.

Daniel Ingber joined NADA in the summer as vice president of regulatory affairs. He was promoted to senior vice president of regulatory affairs.
