Volvo Cars has named Claudia Braun as its new vice president of color and material design.
Braun, 42, comes to Volvo from Daimler, where she was responsible for color and trim design for the Mercedes, AMG and Maybach brands. Prior to that she played a significant role in color and trim design at Porsche.
Braun takes over responsibility for determining what colors and interior materials will be used in future Volvo and Polestar models. She succeeds Ebba Maria Thunberg, who has retired.
“Volvo is the most stylish and sustainable brand," Braun said in a release. "It is a perfect match to my vision of Scandinavian sustainable design and a responsible way of life."
