As the workday wound down on Wednesday, March 25, Colorado dealerships were still open. Late that afternoon, Gov. Jared Polis ordered all stores in the state to be closed by 6:00 the next morning.
On Thursday, the directive was modified: Online-only sales were allowed, as was in-person service.
At Schomp Automotive Group in Denver, the walk-back meant that employees who were furloughed hours earlier were back on the job.
