Police in Florida last week arrested a man who tried to trade in a vehicle he had stolen a few days earlier — from the same dealership.
Employees at Lake City Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram checked the VIN and discovered it was the same vehicle that had just gone missing from the lot, according to a report from First Coast News in Jacksonville. The man who brought in the vehicle admitted to police that he had stolen it. The dealership's security cameras also captured video of the crime.
He was arrested and charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle, dealing in stolen property and criminal mischief.
