Some dealerships have a mascot. Sutherlin Nissan of Orlando has 16 of them.
And cleaning up after them is "an all day event," the store's managing partner, Ulrich Stanley Marine, wrote on his Facebook page.
After 15 ducklings hatched in a nest outside Marine's window in April, the dealership built a small pond for its new neighbors and began welcoming them into the showroom for food. A video he posted shows the feathered family excitedly waddling in through the automatic sliding door for a quick snack and then following him back outside.
"We let kids feed them, and they put people in a good mood," Marine, who goes by "U.S.," told the Miami Herald last week.
"At first, the mother was really protective of the babies," he said. "Now, they come in at least 15 times a day, and she doesn't mind at all."
