- Mathews Auto Group in Ohio donated $200,000 to help build the Warren G. Harding Presidential Library & Museum in Marion, Ohio. The group is owned by Tom Mathews, Bob Mathews, Tim Mathews, Mike Mathews and Tom Weston. It has 11 dealerships in Marion, Newark, Sandusky, Oregon, Mount Vernon and Bucyrus. The presidential library opened in May and was dedicated in September.
- Florida and Colorado auto dealer Mike Maroone has been named the recipient of the 2022 David F. Mungenast Lifetime Achievement Award from the American International Automobile Dealers Association. AIADA’s board of directors presents the award annually to an industry leader whose community spirit and devotion to the international nameplate auto industry is similar to Mungenast’s. Maroone, former president of AutoNation and now CEO of Maroone USA, has sought to give back to the communities in which he operates throughout his career. He is a member of various boards and organizations, including the Cleveland Clinic enterprise board of directors and the board of Cleveland Clinic Florida.
