Ride-hailing giant Didi Chuxing says its English-language interface has had more than 2 million users in China since coming online in 2017.
More than half of those users live in the north China region surrounding Beijing, the east China region centering on Shanghai and the South China region comprising Guangzhou and Shenzhen, according to Didi.
Among major Chinese cities, Shanghai has the most expats who use the interface, followed by Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and the southwest China city of Chengdu.
More than 1 million expats work and live in China, Didi said, citing estimates of Euromonitor International, a consultancy.
Didi, established in Beijing in 2012, is the largest ride-hailing provider in China. The company claims to have 550 million registered users in and outside China.
