Electric sedan to replace Infiniti Q50

Another sedan — the Infiniti Q50 — is being discontinued, after the 2024 model year.

The Q50 debuted in 2013 and U.S. sales peaked at 44,007 in 2016, and fell to 6,201 last year. The Q50's demise will leave Infiniti with only three crossovers — the QX50, QX55 and QX60 — and the QX80 SUV, in its U.S. lineup. Infiniti plans a new electric sedan that will replace the Q50.

Dealers describe the fastback sedan as a "striking evolution" of the discontinued Q70. It features a new headlight and taillight design — a single light strip spanning the vehicle's width. And the rear is sporty and Porsche-like.
