Acura is officially readying a high-performance Integra Type S to join its lineup next summer for the 2024 model year.
The Integra nameplate, used to launch the brand in the 1980s, was resurrected for 2023. The Integra Type S joins the TLX Type S sport sedan and the MDX Type S crossover as the pinnacle of Acura performance now that output of the NSX Type S has ended.
Acura is "promising ultimate street performance and driver engagement" with the high-performance Integra.
The Integra Type S features many of the same components as the Honda Civic Type R, including a high-revving 2.0-liter VTEC turbocharged inline-four-cylinder engine producing more than 300 hp and mated to a 6-speed manual transmission with limited-slip differential in front-wheel-drive configuration.
