Ford Motor Co. will launch the 2023 Maverick Tremor Off-Road Package for customers looking for greater off-road capabilities on XLT and Lariat series trucks.
The automaker said Monday that the package will include a 1-inch lift for improved ground clearance as well as specially designed front and rear suspension to boost off-road capabilities. The updated truck is also equipped with a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine and advanced all-wheel drive with four-wheel-drive lock.
The Maverick Tremor also offers Trail Control, which operates similarly to cruise control for off-road driving, and five selectable drive modes so customers can switch between on- and off-road capabilities.
Customers who opt in to the off-road package can also purchase the Tremor Appearance Package. Ford spokesperson Megan Rodrigues told Automotive News that this additional package includes a "carbonized gray painted roof, mirror caps [and] hood and side graphics."
The 2023 Ford Maverick Tremor Off-Road Package and the appearance package cost $2,995 and $1,495, respectively. Both packages will be available for order starting in September and production of the vehicles is expected to begin sometime in the fall.
Ford sold 38,753 Mavericks in the U.S. during the first half of 2022, including 3,882 in June.
