Getting a manicure, massage and maybe even a new car is just a typical Tuesday for women visiting Don Hattan Dealerships locations.
Tuesday is known as Ladies' Day at the dealership group's three stores in Augusta, Wichita and Derby, Kansas. Women looking to purchase a vehicle or get their cars serviced are treated to complimentary manicures, massages and service department discounts.
Don Hattan Dealerships CEO Jill Hattan created Ladies' Day in 2005 in a bid to make women more comfortable when purchasing a vehicle. The efforts began as an evening clinic for women to learn about car care and transitioned to a day of pampering.
"I wanted a store that was more comfortable for more people," Hattan said. "A lot of times women, specifically, are not comfortable in a dealership setting. And so it was just to try and make women feel special even, not just comfortable."
