What: GKN simplifies design for modular propshaft

Innovation: GKN Driveline created a single-piece modular front propshaft that shifts torque from the transfer case to the front axle. The shaft, simplified for manufacturability, is 15 percent lighter than previous versions, with improved torque capacity and a more durable sealing system. It uses two constant velocity joints, with direct torque flow interface and a high-strength tubular shaft.
