Frederiek Toney, 58, vice president of Ford Motor Co.'s global customer service division, has presided over Ford's aggressive push to expand automotive maintenance offerings at dealerships.

Toney is a firm believer that Ford and Lincoln dealers have an opportunity to take business away from independent repair shops such as Pep Boys and Sears. Since launching in 1998, Ford's Quick Lane franchise has expanded. Toney expects the Quick Lane franchise count to rise to 750 dealerships by the end of this year.
