What better place to buy a car than the dealership group where you work? At Holman Auto Group, with 16 dealerships in New Jersey and Florida, employees get the best deals.
If a Holman employee wants a new car, he can buy it for invoice minus holdback, floorplan and any other related charges. "They pay what the owner purchases them for," said Anne Williams, general manager of Holman Toyota-Scion in Mount Laurel, N.J. "It shows the employees we really value their business. We want to keep them in-house."
For those employees who cannot afford a new car, the at-cost policy extends to any used car that has been in inventory longer than 35 days, Williams said. Holman also pays half of the costs for furthering an employee's education, providing the employee maintains a B average.
Holman also embraces employees' creativity. Once a year, the dealership group holds an art exhibit so those employees skilled in pottery, painting and drawing can display their talents, Williams said.
And when Holman Toyota-Scion won Toyota's President's Award, all employees were invited to bring a guest to the nearby Dave & Busters for dinner, an open bar and $40 gift cards to play the games.
