2011 ALL STAR | MINORITY BUSINESS
Executive director of global vehicle and powertrain purchasing, Ford Motor Co.
Jordan, 44, continues to deliver more of Ford's supplier purchases to minority suppliers. He handles Ford's day-to-day purchasing under Tony Brown, Ford's group vice president of global purchasing. Under Ford's current regime, minority suppliers have prospered. Ten percent of Ford's $50 billion annual purchasing budget is earmarked for minority vendors. Moreover, Ford's Joint Technology Framework program has given minority firms access to Ford's cutting-edge technology. And nine of the 102 suppliers in Ford's Aligned Business Framework are minority-owned, thus ensuring a long-term relationship with Ford.
