Proudest achievement: "I am thrilled to have been appointed to my current position. It has always been my goal to have a positive impact on the company and on the people with whom I work."
On being successful: "A critical key to being successful is to have strong working relationships. To develop these, you need to be positive, confident and treat others with dignity and respect. Also, seek out challenging assignments that go beyond the scope of your current responsibilities. It's the people who are willing to take calculated risks that are successful."
On being a woman in the industry: "I've been in the industry for 22 years and I've seen significant changes. There has been an increase in the number of women and minorities in the professional ranks. Still, I've never focused on the fact that I am a woman in what was traditionally defined as a man's industry. I'd find it distracting and unproductive. I just focused on developing strong relationships, a positive and confident attitude, being well-prepared and looking for assignments that are a 'stretch.' "
