First automotive job: With Ford Parts and Service Division, 1977
Proudest achievement: "I'm proud to be leading a team that is developing a new and exciting use of technology for the automotive industry. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to develop the business and at the same time help individuals develop leadership skills that fit the changing business environment."
On being successful: "Personal success can be measured by looking at how you have helped others be successful. As I look back over my career there are so many people that have helped me. I took my first international trip in my early days at Ford, and it was to Japan! I have great memories of the Ford people that helped me find my way around the airport and helped me learn how to handle the experiences that faced me. Success is not something you achieve on your own."
On being a woman in the industry: "I'm glad to see more and more women influencing the industry. When companies are open to using all the human talent available to them they will gain tremendous benefit. If anything I have accomplished has helped someone achieve their goals, I am proud to have contributed to their success."
