General Motors' Corvette assembly plant is idle this week due to a temporary parts shortage.
GM spokesman Dan Flores would not specify which part caused the shortage but told Automotive News the shortage "is not semiconductor chip-related."
Production is expected to resume Monday, Feb. 27, at the plant in Bowling Green, Ky.
"Our supply chain, manufacturing and engineering teams are working closely with our supply base to mitigate any further impact on production to meet the strong demand for our products," GM spokesperson Rachel Bagshaw said in a statement.
The Kentucky plant, with over 1,300 employees, manufactures the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and the Chevrolet Corvette Z06.
A call to UAW Local 2164 in Bowling Green was not immediately returned Tuesday.
The Detroit News reported on the plant idling last week.
