TO THE EDITOR:
I echo Richard Truett's thoughts on the Volt ("A deserving case to salvage GM's powertrain in Chevy Volt," autonews.com, Nov. 27).
My two sons bought a Chevy dealership and talked me into buying a Volt. It is an amazing car, fun to drive, economical, well-designed, sporty and EVERYTHING WORKS!
I am on my third Volt, and GM would do well to keep the Volt and make it all-electric. I do believe it will, with proper support, be a competitor to the Honda Civic and the Toyota Corolla.
I agree the Chevrolet Equinox is the perfect vehicle to use the Volt's electric/gas system, if the battery range can be extended to 100 or so miles.
