Kia Motors Corp. tells U.S. dealers on Nov. 6, 2007, that it will begin selling a seven-seat, three-row SUV in the United States starting in 2008.
It was made in Korea and was a companion to the Hyundai Veracruz.
The concept version of the Borrego was known as the HM, or Mesa. It featured a body-on-frame platform and came standard with a V-6 engine with an optional V-8, Kia's first.
Kia plans to re-enter the market for three-row SUVs/crossovers with the 2020 Telluride.
