Although U.S. deliveries of the battery-powered Jaguar I-Pace don't officially start until next month, the first one is already in customer hands, consuming electrons. Crown Jaguar handed the keys — and the plug — to the first retail I-Pace to the Pascarella family this month after the St. Petersburg, Fla., dealership outbid other Jaguar Land Rover retailers for the right to deliver the first electric Jaguar. The auction — brainchild of Joe Eberhardt, JLR's North American chief — raised $82,000 for Anguilla, a Caribbean island ravaged by Hurricane Irma last year.
