Kaiser on changes to recruitment:
"We have instituted a very lucrative referral program for our employees. We have started to proactively reach out through online employment portals such as LinkedIn and Indeed. We have started a relationship with the local high school's vocational students who study automotive."
Kaiser on rewarding employees and showing them they are valued:
"Audi Chantilly has an Employee Rewards Program. The employee can accumulate certificates and turn them in for gift cards for up to $500. Employees can earn rewards based on production goals, attendance and positive reviews online or customer letters."
Kaiser on helping employees develop a career path:
"Audi Chantilly maintains a high-potential spreadsheet of employees that we update quarterly. The employee is notified by management that they are on the list, which is forwarded to our regional office. These employees will receive training through our company and outside resources. This regional list is used to fill positions within our entire company."
Kaiser on making work schedules more balanced or flexible:
"Audi Chantilly does not schedule any bell-to-bell shifts. We have incorporated an amended schedule for employees of sales and F&I. Each quarter, any of these employees with a minimum of six months employment are given a scheduled weekend off for the quarter."
Kaiser on compensation:
"Our structure has evolved from commission-based to one that incorporates customer satisfaction results for all customer-facing employees. The focus we put on customer service is a significant part of our pay plans."
