After a donation from Don Groppetti and Groppetti Automotive Family in Visalia, Calif., the Visalia Unified School District bought Vicis Zero1 helmets for its high school football teams. About 220 players from four schools will wear the helmets, the same kind worn by some NFL and college players. Each helmet costs $950. Groppetti Automotive's nine dealerships in Visalia and northern California sell Buick, Ford, GMC, Honda, Hyundai, Nissan and Toyota vehicles.
